He came to save us from our sins so that He could have a personal relationship with us. How awesome is that! God planned, eons ago, that He would send His Son, in reality, Himself, down to this planet and die simply so we could be reconciled to Him. God is not, I think, just looking for a change to cleanse us; rather, He is longing for a relationship wherein we welcome Him into our lives and we live together.
